1895: Tesla’s Laboratory on 5th Avenue burned down, fire marshal on the scene suspects foul play; The Alien Custodial Properties Agency or APCA confiscates all remains of the Lab.

1900: Tesla discovers the Cosmic Solution, and through it accidentally imbues himself with the ‘control over electricity’; Tesla attacks Thomas Edison at his residence in Llellywen Park, however he is foiled thanks to the intervention of a APCA agent who was outfitted with a collection of Tesla’s own inventions recovered from his burnt lab. Tesla is killed by the use of Tesla’s own Teleforce, entries declassified years later by C.A.P.E. from Tesla’s own Journal mentions the Teleforce as his crowning achievement. The media begins to refer to the unknown agent of APCA as “The Modern Marvel”.

1901: Death of Queen Victoria; Edward VII becomes King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India.

1902: Cuba gains independence from the United States. Unification of Saudi Arabia begins.

1903: First controlled heavier-than-air flight of the Wright Brothers. In Russia the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks form from the breakup of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party.

1904: Russo-Japanese War begins.

1905: Russo-Japanese War ends. Revolution of 1905 in Russia. Albert Einstein’s formulation of relativity.

1906: Earthquakes in San Francisco, California (death toll: 3000) and Valparaíso, Chile (death toll: 20,000) occur. Brazilian inventor Alberto Santos-Dumont takes off and flies his 14-bis to a crowd in Paris.

1908: First commercial radio transmissions. The Ford Motor Company invents the Model T. The Tunguska event (later conjectured to be a meteorite strike) devastates thousands of square kilometres of Siberia.

1909: United States troops leave Cuba. Louis Bleriot becomes the first person to cross the English Channel by airplane. Robert E. Peary claims to have reached the North Pole though the claim is subsequently heavily contested.

1910: Beginning of the Mexican Revolution. George V becomes King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India. Imperial Japan annexes Korea. Halley’s Comet returns.

1911: Roald Amundsen first reaches the South Pole. Ernest Rutherford identifies the atomic nucleus.

1912: Republic of China established, ending the Chinese Empire. Sinking of the RMS Titanic.Woodrow Wilson is elected 28th President of the United States. Arizona becomes the last state to be admitted to the continental Union.

1913: Niels Bohr formulates the first cohesive model of the atomic nucleus, and in the process paves the way to quantum mechanics. Ford Motor Company introduces the first moving assembly line. The Wright Brothers make the first successful airplane flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

1914: Gavrilo Princip assassinates Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo, triggering the start of World War I. Panama Canal opens.

1915: The RMS Lusitania is sunk. The United States occupation of Haiti begins. First use of poison gas at the Battle of Neuve Chapelle and Second Battle of Ypres.

1916: David Lloyd George becomes the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Grigory Rasputin is assassinated by H.H. Prince Felix Youssoupov. Project 244 begins in America.

1917: Russian Revolution ends the Russian Empire; beginning of Russian Civil War. USA join the Allies for the last 17 months of World War I. Independence of Poland recognised. The first Pulitzer Prizes are awarded. The Meta-Human Program begins in America; ’Operation: Trinity succesfully infiltrates the Meta-Human Project; America is forced into sharing the Cosmic Solution with Russia, Japan, and England.

1918: End of World War I; German Revolution begins. Abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Spanish flu pandemic. Poland, Ukraine and Belarus are among a number of states to declare independence from Russia.

1919: Treaty of Versailles redraws European borders. German Revolution ends with the collapse of the German Empire and the establishment of the Weimar Republic. League of Nations founded in Paris. Polish-Soviet War begins. The Italian National Fascist Party is established by Benito Mussolini. The International Labor Organisation is established. Ernest Rutherford discovers the proton. First experimental evidence for the General theory of relativity obtained by Arthur Eddington.

1920: Mexican Revolution ends. Greece restores its monarchy after a referendum. Red Army invasion of Azerbaijan and Armenia ends the Armenian–Azerbaijani War and concludes with their incorporation into the Soviet Union.

1921: Adolf Hitler becomes Führer of the Nazi Party as hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic begins. Russia invades Georgia and incorporates it into the Soviet Union. End of Russian Civil War and Polish-Soviet War.

1922: March on Rome brings Benito Mussolini to power in Italy. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), the world’s first officially Communist state, is formed.Mohandas Gandhi launches Non-cooperation movement.

1923: Hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic ends with the introduction of the Rentenmark. The Beer Hall Putsch, an attempt to overthrow the Weimar Republic, ends in failure and brief imprisonment for Adolf Hitler but brings the Nazi Party to national attention.

1924: Death of Vladimir Lenin. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation founded under J. Edgar Hoover. The August Uprising in Georgia against Soviet rule.

1925: Benito Mussolini gains dictatorial powers in Italy. Mein Kampf is published. First televisual image created by John Logie Baird.

1926: Hirohito becomes Emperor of Japan.

1927: Joseph Stalin becomes leader of the Soviet Union. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland officially becomes the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. World population reaches 2 billion.

1928: Discovery of penicillin by Alexander Fleming.

1929: Wall Street crash of 1929 and the beginning of the Great Depression. First people sent to the gulag in the Soviet Union. Pope Pius XI signs the Lateran Treaty with Italian leader Benito Mussolini. Vatican City is recognised as a sovereign state.

1930: Aided by the Great Depression, the Nazi Party increases its share of the vote from 2.6% to 18.3%. Clyde Tombaugh discovers Pluto. Salt March by Mohandas Gandhi and the official start of civil disobedience in British India.

1931: Construction of the Empire State Building. The Second Spanish Republic is declared. The Chinese Soviet Republic is proclaimed by Mao Zedong. Statute of Westminster creates the British Commonwealth of Nations. Japan invades Manchuria, China and occupies it until the end of World War II. Meta-Riots occur in Unity City.

1932: Franklin D. Roosevelt is elected President of the United States. The Nazi party becomes the largest single party in the German parliament. The Neutron is discovered.

1933: Adolf Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany. The League of Nations redrafts its directive, redifing the union of nations into a more cohesive whole.

1934: Adolf Hitler instigates the Night of the Long Knives, which cements his power over both the Nazi Party and Germany. With the death of President Hindenburg, Hitler declares himself Fuhrer of Germany.

1935: Second Italo-Abyssinian War concludes with the exile of Haile Selassie and the conquest of Abyssinia by Benito Mussolini. Persia becomes Iran.

1936: Beginning of the Spanish Civil War. Great Purge begins under Stalin. Edward VIII becomes King of the British Commonwealth and Emperor of India, before abdicating and handing the throne to his brother, George VI. Hoover Dam is completed. Italy annexes Ethiopia. Japan begins experimenting with creating a stronger version of the Cosmic Solution

1937: Japanese invasion of China, and the beginning of World War II in the Far East. Neville Chamberlain becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The Irish Republican Army attempts to assassinate King George VI of the United Kingdom. Newly upgraded zeppelin the LZ 180 Hidenburg makes its debut flight from Europe to America, President Roosevelt says the modern zeppelin is “the way of the future.” Stalin orderers Russian scientists to begin working on improving the Cosmic Solution, it is named Project Hammer.

1938: Anschluss unifies Germany and Austria. Munich agreement hands Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany. Great Purge ends after nearly 700,000 executions. Kristallnacht in Germany, while Time Magazine declares Adolf Hitler as Man of the Year.

1939: End of Spanish Civil War. Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact between Germany and the Soviet Union. Nazi invasion of Poland triggers the beginning of World War II in Europe. Soviet invasion of Poland begins 16 days later. Palestinian revolt against the British ends. Russia produces a more powerful Meta-Human, they are given the codename: Red Revolutionaries.

1940: Nazis invade France, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway. Katyn massacre of Polish soldiers in USSR. Winter War between Soviet Union and Finland. Winston Churchill becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Battle of Britain, the first entirely aerial military campaign, becomes the first significant defeat for the Axis powers. The Blitz begins. Chechen insurgency begins in Soviet Union. Winston Churchill authorizes the Blue Skies Initiative, to produce a more powerful version of the Cosmic Solution.

1941: Japan successfully produces a more powerful version of Meta-Humans, many nickname them ‘Banshees’. Operation Reinhard commences the main phase of The Holocaust. Attack on Pearl Harbor, which leads to the USA joining World War II. Hitler commences the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. Siege of Tobruk in North Africa is the first major defeat for Hitler’s land forces. Siege of Leningrad begins; Red Revolutionaries manage to stop German forces from overrunning the city immediately.

1942: Battle of Midway. Battle of the Coral Sea. First and second Battles of El Alamein. Battle of Stalingrad and Guadalcanal Campaign begin. Internment of Japanese-American citizens in the US begins. The Manhattan Project and the Ganoth Project begins.

1943: Battle of Stalingrad ends with over two million casualties and the retreat of the German Army. The failed Battle of Kursk becomes the last Nazi offensive on the Eastern Front. Tehran Conference been Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin agrees to launch Operation Overlord.

1944: D-Day. The Siege of Leningrad ends with Soviet victory after over a million deaths; Stalin awards special praise to the Red Revolutionaries, calling them the ’future and proliferators of communism. Baltic states are annexed by the Soviet Union. First operational electronic computer, Colossus, comes online

1945: Bombing of Dresden. Battle of Berlin. Yalta Conference. End of World War II in Europe. The Holocaust ends after ~12 million deaths, including 6 million Jews. Deaths of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. Creation of the atomic bomb, and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Ganoth Project yields Triumph, the Inevitable, while Hiroshima and Nagasaki were being bombed, Triumph is deployed to Kami City to capture it. Japan however gets wind of the super powered Meta-Human, and are able to deploy their Secret Weapon, the Meta-Human known as Kami. The two fight for control of the city, Triumph emerges victorious, but at great cost, as most of Kami City lies in ruins. End of World War II in Asia and beginning of the Occupation of Japan. Potsdam Conference divides Europe into Western and Soviet blocs. League of Nations signs the Normandy Act, the first official establishment of an internationally recognized ‘laws of war’. Chinese Civil War begins. Independence of Korea. Deaths of Anne Frank and Béla Bartók. Nuremberg trials begin.

1946: Italy becomes a republic. Nuremberg trials end. First images taken of the Earth from space. Triumph willingly isolates himself in the Power Plant built for and named after him, Triumph Heights Power Plant. The plant itself is single handedly able to power the entirety of Ganoth until the 1980s were an ever expanding Suburb forced the Govoner to construct two secondary plants to help prevent rolling blackouts. Despite the addition of the two Power Plants later, Ganoth still gets most of its power from Triumph Heights.

1947: Independence of India and Pakistan and beginning of First Indo-Pakistani War. Invention of the first practical transistor. Breaking of the sound barrier for non Meta-Humans. Harry Truman establishes the Truman Doctrine of containment of Communism. Creation of America’s two central espionage Organizations the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency to deal with monitoring and the larger bulk of the intelligence gathering, and the refocused and repurposed Custodial Agency of the Power Endowed which was previously the Alien Property Custodial Agency.

1948: The League of Nations establishes Israeli Independence and the formation of the official State of Israel. Assassination of Mohandas Gandhi. Division of North and South Korea. First Indo-Pakistani War ends. The Soviet Sever-2 expedition become the first party to indisputably set foot on the North Pole.

1949: While the radiation surrounding Hiroshima and Nagasaki seem to be harmful to humans, no noticeable effects seem to occur from the left over radiation from Triumph’s destruction of Kami City. Creation of NATO. Berlin Blockade ends. Partition of Germany into the Soviet socialist German Democratic Republic and the NATO-backed Federal Republic of Germany. Partition of Kashmir. End of the Chinese Civil War and establishment of the People’s Republic of China. Soviet Union tests atomic bomb. Beginning of the Cosmic Solution Race, which lead to vast improvements made on the Cosmic Solution.

1950: Beginning of the Korean War. Ashita City is built on the ashes of Kami City.

1951: Treaty of San Francisco ends the Occupation of Japan and formally concludes hostilities between Japan and the US. Part of the treaty explicitly forbids Japan from developing the Cosmic Solution in the future.

1952: Queen Elizabeth II becomes Monarch of the Commonwealth realms. Bonn–Paris conventions end allied occupation of West Germany. Slansky Trial in Czechoslovakia. Detonation of the hydrogen bomb. First scheduled flight by commercial jet. Development of the first effective polio vaccine by Jonas Salk.

1953: Discovery of DNA; Understanding of genetics lead to a rapid growing understanding of the Cosmic Solution. End of the Korean War. Death of Joseph Stalin.

1954: Supreme Court of the United States decides Brown v. Board of Education, ordering an end to racial segregation in public schools. The Soviet Union generates first electricity by nuclear power.

1955: Signing of the Warsaw Pact. Antimatter first produced.

1957: Launch of Sputnik 1 and the beginning of the Space Age; Harold Macmillan become British Prime Minister.

1958: NASA, the U.S. Federal Aviation Authority and Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) founded. CND’s symbol, the peace sign, is first used. Invention of the optical disc and the cassette tape.

1959: Cuban Revolution. Admission of Alaska and Hawaii into the United States. The Dalai Lama is exiled from Tibet. First documented AIDS cases. Beginning of the Vietnam War; Meta-Human spies assist both sides of the fighting, most noticeable involvement of Meta-Humans in the Cold War. First images of the far side of the Moon. By this time, the gulag has been effectively disbanded, after over a million recorded deaths. World population reaches 3 billion.

1960: 1960 U-2 incident sparks deterioration in relations between superpowers; Year of Africa: Independence of 17 African nations; Assassination of Patrice Lumumba begins Congo Crisis begins. First manned descent to the deepest point on Earth, the Mariana Trench. Construction of the first laser.

1961: Great Leap Forward ends in China after the deaths of roughly 20 million people. Construction of the Berlin Wall. First human spaceflight.

1962: Cuban missile crisis. First Mutants to be discovered begin to emerge in Ashita City, Japan.

1963: Martin Luther King, Jr. delivers “I Have a Dream” at the March on Washington. Assassination of John F. Kennedy; Meta-Human involvement suspected. Launch of the first geostationary satellite.

1964: Civil Rights Act abolishes segregation in the USA. First close-up images of Mars.

1965: Deaths of Winston Churchill and Malcolm X. Anti-Communist purge in Indonesia kills up to 500,000 people.

1966: China’s Cultural Revolution begins.

1967: Summer of Love.

1968: Assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy during the Poor People’s Campaign. The Troubles begin in Northern Ireland. Tet Offensive occurs in South Vietnam. Age of Aquarius begins with the return of the spirit Harry Houdini from the afterlife. With his return, comes the Winds of Magic and the Ancient Ones. People report having strange seemingly magical powers all over the world.

1969: Moon landings; Woodstock festival; creation of ARPANET, the earliest incarnation of the Internet.

1970: Edward Heath becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Ratification of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

1971: Internment begins in Northern Ireland. Invention of the microchip. Tensions rise between the Mutants and regular Humans in Ashita City.

1973: Yom Kippur War, Beginning of the Watergate scandal. First space station, Skylab, is launched. The Supreme Court of the United States decides Roe v. Wade. First close-up images of Jupiter. First images taken of the Web constellation.

1974: First close-up images of Mercury. Discovery of “Lucy” (Australopithecus afarensis) in Ethiopia’s Olduvai Gorge. World population reaches 4 billion. Resignation of Richard Nixon.

1975: End of Vietnam War and Fall of Saigon.

1976: First outbreak of the Ebola virus. Death of Mao Zedong. End of Cultural Revolution.

1977: Introduction of the first mass-produced personal computers; launch of the Voyager spacecraft. Queen Alia of Jordan is killed in helicopter crash.

1978: Invention of artificial insulin; discovery of Pluto’s moon Charon. Birth of the first test-tube baby.

1979: Smallpox eradicated. Soviet–Afghan War begins. Iranian Revolution and Iran hostage crisis; First close-up images of Saturn. Margaret Thatcher becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Implementation of China’s One child policy.

1980: Ronald Reagan is elected President of the United States. Beginning of the Iran-Iraq War, Salvadorian Civil War and Contra War.

1981: First orbital flight of the Space Shuttle.

1982: First Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

1983: End of 1982 Lebanon War. GPS becomes available for civilian use. Bombing of U.S. Embassy in Beirut.

1984:Sino-British Joint Declaration agrees to hand Hong Kong back to China by 1997.

1985: Mikhail Gorbachev becomes Premier of the Soviet Union. First use of DNA fingerprinting.

1986: Challenger and Chernobyl disasters, both largely suspected to have Meta-Human involvement. The cabal known as the Spooks of MI-13 are discovered to be traitors, secretly escalating the conflict on both sides. They flee the west over the Berlin Wall, during their escape only one of them is killed. Launch of the space station Mir. Return of Halley’s Comet. Iran-Contra becomes public.

1987: Stock market crash of 1987. First Intifada between Israel and Palestine begins. World population reaches 5 billion. Carl Sagan ascends to a higher plane of existence, leaving the world a final warning, “Resolve this world’s conflict for somewhere out there, something incredible is waiting to be known.”

1988: End of the Iran-Iraq War. George HW Bush is elected President of the United States. Civil Rights marches occur in Ashita City, Japan requests an additional military presence in Ashita to keep the situation under control.

1989: Fall of the Berlin Wall; 1989 revolution and collapse of the Soviet Bloc in Europe. End of Soviet–Afghan War. Death of Emperor Hirohito, his son Akihito becomes Emperor of Japan. First close up pictures of Neptune.

1990: Sir Tim Berners-Lee invents the World Wide Web. German reunification. Launch of the Hubble Space Telescope. Contra War ends.

1991: Gulf War ends in US withdrawal and failed uprising. Dissolution of the Soviet Union and independence of 15 former Soviet republics. Boris Yeltsin becomes the first President of the Russian Federation.

1992: Bill Clinton is elected President of the United States. Meta-Human criminals begin to appear; Cops are overwhelmed by the threat these super-powered individuals pose; C.A.P.E. begins policing Meta-Humans. First Age of Heroes begins.

1993: The world’s first SuperHero, Paragon, begins to fight crime, doing the things the cops can’t.

1994: Paragon fights a SuperVillian named Quake in a subterranean cavern beneath southern California, the fight sets off a massive Earthquake and nearly kills Paragon; C.A.P.E. abduct Paragon in his weakened state and replace him with a cloned duplicate who has been given all of Paragon’s memories and is in fact identical to the original except C.A.P.E. can exert a measure of control over him via a microchip implanted in his skull.

1995: Establishment of the World Trade provisions within the League of Nations. Paragon learns he’s a clone; Paragon attacks C.A.P.E. headquarters in retribution, the attack is heavily documented by the many reporters who were drawn to the attack in Washington DC; During the attack a scientist by the name of Professor Palingrade intervenes and notifies Paragon of a meteor large enough to cause a mass extinction headed directly for Unity City; Paragon chooses to forgo his revenge and sacrifices himself in order to stop the meteor.

1996: The origins of the meteor is revealed to have been sent as the first strike of an Alien Invasion; The Arachneri, as humanity comes to know them attacks all of earth at once, dropping out of the sky on people of all countries.

1997: C.A.P.E. organizes an international resistance against the Arachneri, stopping their steady advance across the world; The number of Aliens steadily drop off, no new reinforcements seem to be coming; Earth Victory Day.

1998: C.A.P.E. formally recognizes the vital role of Meta-Humans in the Alien Invasion; the American Congress passes the Super-Samaritan Act, allowing masked vigilantism but placing C.A.P.E. solely in charge of regulating the heroes, many other countries adopt similar policies; C.A.P.E. creates another clone of Paragon using some DNA still stored, this clone they choose to inform of his true origin, and the clone takes the name Paradigm; The Global Defense Initiative is passed within the League of Nations, authorizing the establishment of an international army to enforce League policy.

1999: While investigating a mysterious cult, Paradigm accidentally sets off the Prophecy of R’lyeh, which foretells the rise of the Ancient Ones; Paradigm is largely unable to stop the Ancient One’s army of Forgotten Dreams; Paradigm enlists the aide of several other SuperHeroes, to save the world; The team of heroes is able to stop the Prophecy from fulfilling; Paradigm establishes the Savior Society with many of the heroes who helped stop the Ancient Ones; Second Age of Heroes Begins.

2000: A huge increase in the number of SuperHeroes is noticed, although no official counts are done, it is estimated that the number of SuperHeroes grew exponentially. This is the beginning of the Great Meta-Influx. Stanley Martin Leiber is elected President of the United States.

2001: An article in the Daily Unity addresses the growing fad of non-Meta SuperHeroes; Baron VonDrake a well-known SuperVillian takes advantage of the aftermath of the Alien Invasion by unifying a number of ex-Soviet countries under one flag, the new country is named Drakenhall; America refuses to acknowledge Drakenhall as a legitimate country and urges the League of Nations to do similarly.

2003: A single UFO is seen for an entire day floating over the League of Nations, although initially there is a massive move to mobilize defenses, the World Leaders are quick to issue a general stand-down order. The leaders soon release a statement informing the world that these Aliens had only peaceful intent and were coming to speak of the recent Archnari invasion.

2004: Reports begin surfacing of suspected Alien abductions that leave the individual with strange powers. The Church of the Night Sky is established and spreads rapidly, many minor cults with similar themes of Alien worship begin to appear as well.

2005: Anti-League of Nations protests begin in the Middle East, many are concerned protests will turn violent; The League of Nations deploys troops to keep the peace.

2007: A masked Meta-Human begins causing problems for League troops in the Middle East, people begin calling him Sandstorm.

2008: The Savior Society (at the behest of the League of Nations) attempts to apprehend Sandstorm, however are only successful in driving Sandstorm into hiding. Thaddeus Red is elected President of the United States.

2009: Grey-Cowl member of the Savior Society goes rogue and is declared a SuperVillian, a massive man-hunt begins for the Meta-Human, C.A.P.E. begins a massive public awareness campaign of the rogue SuperHero.

2010: Paradigm fights Grey-Cowl during the fight, Paradigm is forced to kill Grey-Cowl.

2011: Sandstorm attempts to destroy Unity City (home of the League of Nations), however is foiled by a joint effort of various SuperHeroes and C.A.P.E. Third Age of Heroes begins.

2012: Tension between Drakenhall and America rises when the League of Nations formally recognizes the SuperVillian state as a country.

2013: Present
